A sad message was just delivered to Jairus, he did not get Jesus in time. While they were yet coming, his twelve year old daughter had died. Why bother Jesus any further concerning her? Ah, but you see, Jesus isn’t like other physicians. There is hope when all is hopeless. “Be not afraid, only believe“, these are the words that Jesus spoke.
We, as Christians, should be looking for occasions to ‘prove’ Jesus. It isn’t all over. Christ is still Christ. The situation doesn’t matter. “Be not afraid, only believe.” Believing for miracles is a powerful gift of God. Believe and God will do mighty, powerful things. He will come in the midst of our storms and say “peace be still”. Seeing miracles should be a commonplace reality.
When we begin to pray with faith, God will hear and move. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Pray and with faith believe for that answer as though it is a present fact. Let it settle into your heart that God is going to do it.
