Rev. Glenn H. Yohn preached:
Mark 8:1-9 (Primary text verse 4)
Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
4 And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?
The Lord knows how to take care of a tremendous difficulty.
To know Jesus and knowing how to call out to Him, is more precious than knowing a king, a prime minister or president.
Looking upon those people, Jesus had compassion and wouldn’t send them away hungry.
When Jesus hung on the cross, hope was risen. He paid the price for the multitude and now they can be fed. After Jesus blessed the bread and broke it, He gave it to the disciples and commissioned them to feed the multitude.
Jesus did the impossible. He made a way that we could receive Salvation. As Jesus gave the commission to the disciples to take bread and share, we have a great commission…take the Word of God and share it with the hungry.
When you brake off some of the bread of life and share it, you’re not going to deplete it. It will never fail you. It will be there tomorrow as it was yesterday and the days before that.
The Lord is touched with compassion concerning those needs in your life. He wants to feed you and satisfy your soul. Seek Him first. You never know who God will put in your path to be His disciple for you and you never know those for whom you will be commissioned.
